Adina Freiburg
Freiburg Germany
With the increased mechanisation of the beer industry, one of Germany’s traditional breweries, Ganter, found itself with redundant buildings. After extensive renovations, one of those structures - a former distribution and bottling plant - has been converted into Adina Freiburg.
Its setting, in a valley on the edge of the Black Forest, and ringed by mountains means the guestrooms and public spaces have the most extraordinary views. Characterised by autumnal tones and natural materials, Adina Freiburg’s 117 guestrooms take inspiration from both the surrounding nature and history of the building.
The hotel was designed with the leisure traveller in mind. A basement swimming pool showcases the mountains through a glass ceiling while details such as picture windows and an exposed brick fireplace offer comfort.
